Factors that affect the qualities of Cubic Zirconia Stones-FU RONG GEMS

posted Feb 15, 2012 6:37 PM by FU RONG GEMS   [ updated Feb 15, 2012 6:38 PM ]

There are 3 factors that affect the quality of Cubic Zirconia:

1) Purity Of Rough Material
2) Cutting Technique
3) Polishing Technique

Purity of Rough CZ Material:

In order to have brilliant and flawless Cubic Zirconia, the quality of rough material used is of the highest importance. Cubic Zirconia was originally invented in the 1970s by the Russians for use in laser technology as the best diamond alternative. Later these high quality stones were introduced to the jewelry industry. Unfortunately, much of the Cubic Zirconia used today is mass produced. It is of inferior quality and is not made using the original Russian Formula. A low quality rough material is cloudy looking, soft and tends to be damaged easily. The CZ stones produced from such rough material are cheap looking and do not look like a real diamond. For clarity and brilliance, FU RONG GEMS prides itself on using only the original classic Russian Formula CZ. This makes all the difference in quality! FU RONG GEMS Cubic Zirconia stones have a 99.99% purity level. Our choice in high quality Cubic Zirconia stones in solid 14K, 18K gold and platinum settings assures that no one will know that you are not wearing real diamonds.

Cubic Zirconia Cutting Technique:

Another major point of difference between Birkat Elyon and the others is the cutting of the stone. There are 2 kinds of CZ: Machine-Cut and Hand-Cut Cubic Zirconia. Mass-produced Cubic Zirconia saves in manufacturing costs but sacrifices quality. Mass-produced CZ stones are made by machine. What sets FU RONG GEMS apart is we use only the world’s finest, hand-cut stones. Each stone is individually cut with great precision. This painstaking work is done by hand, by highly trained professionals. For the final quality check, each stone is examined with a special magnifying glass and any imperfect stones are discarded. Be aware that not every hand-cut CZ is considered top quality. It all depends on the technique and the experience of the cutter. A hand-cut CZ that is not cut with precision and proper technique will not look as brilliant or as real looking as expensive diamonds.

CZ Polishing Technique:

Last but not least, is the polishing technique used on the stones. Even a Cubic Zirconia stone that is made of highest quality rough material and is hand-cut by highly trained professionals won’t look brilliant if it’s not polished properly. Polishing technique is extremely important in the final step of producing a top quality CZ. The mass produced machine-cut Cubic Zirconia is not polished as thoroughly as the hand-cut CZ and the material that is used is of lesser quality. Machine-cut CZ has a thicker girdle, which is the outer edge of the stone, while FU RONG GEMS's top quality CZ has a thin, polished girdle the same as diamonds. Usually a low quality CZ is identified by their thick unpolished girdle and a lack of overall brilliance. FU RONG GEMS uses only the most expensive and effective material to bring out the brilliance of the Cubic Zirconia. With our unique and thorough polishing technique our stones have the shimmering, sparkling beauty of priceless diamonds.

How to Polish The Cubic Zirconia Stones-Fu Rong Gems

Cubic zirconia may not sparkle as brightly as a diamond, but the stone has a radiant quality without the hefty price tag. Cubic zirconia has found a home as a jewelry accessory to accent other stones such as emeralds or sapphires. Polishing the cubic zirconia to a brilliant shine requires a gentle cleaner to soften embedded dirt and soft abrasion to remove it from the stone's surface. Once clean, polish the stone to reveal a stunning glow.

Introductions:
1.Fill a bathroom sink with 1 inch of warm water and 1 teaspoon of baby shampoo or mild dish soap. Swish the mixture with your hand to distribute the soap evenly in the water.

2 .Wet a baby toothbrush with the soapy water. Dip the cubic zirconia into the soap water and brush it with the toothbrush. Use back and forth motions over the entire stone with the toothbrush.

3.Drain the soapy water from the sink. Fill the sink again with warm water. Rinse the cubic zirconia by swishing it in the water.

4.Polish the stone with a soft cotton cloth. Rub it gently over the cubic zirconia. Hold the stone up to the light and inspect it for smudges. Continue to rub the cloth over the stone until it releases a brilliant shine.

China Spring Festival Chun Jie 春节 introduction

China Spring Festival Chun Jie Introduction:
Spring Festival

The oldest and most important festival in China is the Spring Festival, more commonly known in the West as Chinese New Year. Like all Chinese festivals, the date of the new year is determined by the lunar/solar calendar rather than the Western (Gregorian) calendar, so the date of the holiday varies from late January to mid February.

China chun jie
Preparations for the New Year festival start during the last few days of the last moon. Houses are thoroughly cleaned, debts repaid, hair cut and new clothes bought. Doors are decorated with vertical scrolls of characters on red paper whose texts seek good luck and praise nature, this practice stemming from the hanging of peach-wood charms to keep away ghosts and evil spirits. In many homes incense is burned, and also in the temples as a mark of respect to ancestors.

On New Year's Eve houses are brightly lit and a large family dinner is served. In the south of China sticky-sweet glutinous rice pudding called nian gao is served, while in the north the steamed dumpling jiaozi is popular. Most celebrating the festival stay up till midnight, when fireworks are lit, to drive away evil spirits. New Years day is often spent visiting neighbours, family and friends.

Caring Tips for Cubic Zirconia from China WuZhou FU RONG GEMS

Caring Tips for Cubic Zirconia from China WuZhou FU RONG GEMS:

Cubic zirconia is a man-made crystalline gemstone with almost no flaws. Jewellery made of cubic zirconia is a great alternative for diamond jewellery which can often be prohibitively expensive. Cubic zirconia jewellery is affordable but it's also precious and deserves to be cared for. Try some of the following tips to keep your cubic zirconia jewellery sparkly for years to come.
Keep it away from lotions and oils: Chemicals in oils, lotions, perfumes, and sprays rob cubic zirconia of its dazzle. When using these products, take the jewellery off and wear it again once you're done! Sweat and dirt also have a tarnishing effect on cubic zirconia so avoid wearing cubic zirconia jewellery when you're exercising or gardening.

Avoid chlorine, bleach, and ammonia: These common cleaning products have a dulling effect on cubic zirconia. Wear protective gloves if your chores involve working with any of the above, and take cubic zirconia jewellery off when swimming. Cleaning cubic zirconia: Despite your best efforts, any type of jewellery (cubic zirconia included) will get tarnished over time and must be cleaned to restore its original lustre. Try the following effective tips:

Liquid detergent or toothpaste: Polish your cubic zirconia jewellery with a toothbrush and a small amount of detergent or toothpaste. Do not use water and gently scrub for about 10 minutes. This will make the stone (as well as the metal it is set in) shine like its brand new!

Steam and cleaning solutions: Use jewellery cleaning solution or steam and a soft flannel/cotton cloth to polish your cubic zirconia jewellery. Be firm but gentle and do not use circular motions.

Water and soap: If nothing else, good old soap and lukewarm water should also be able to remove dirt and grime from your cubic zirconia jewellery. You could also soak jewellery overnight in a soapy solution to get rid of especially tough grime. How often to clean cubic zirconia jewellery: Clean your jewellery at least once a month and also consider having it cleaned professionally. It's worth the small fee.

How to store cubic zirconia jewelry: Cubic zirconia jewellery becomes lacklustre with wear and tear. To retain the dazzle of the stone, set aside some rings, earrings, pendants, and necklaces for everyday use and others for special occasion wear. Use an airtight container (a plastic bag is fine) to store your special occasion cubic zirconia jewellery and keep it protected and lustrous.

Cubic zirconia jewellery does not scratch or get damaged easily but it does need regular TLC! Use some of the tips above and you will enjoy your cubic zirconia jewellery for many years.

Blue sapphire stones v/s Tanzanite Stones-China Supplier and Factory

Blue sapphire stones v/s Tanzanite Stones:
Sapphire-and-Tanzanite-Stones-China-Wholesale

So, so. You are looking at buying some fine jewelry, you love the color blue and it’s got to be a beautiful diamond accented sensual dark blue gemstone in white gold. Tempting! Now the big question – a sensual dark blue gemstone- should it be sapphire or tanzanite?

Sapphire and tanzanite are close cousins when it comes to color and looks. The difference is very subtle. Sapphire is essentially a dark velvety blue with overtones of navy blue and purple and tanzanite is silky violet with overtones of red and purple (and sage green in rare cases). Ok, I know it’s poetic and confusing. In simple words sapphire is dark blue and tanzanite is violet. So you can select your stone based on your color preference.
And yes there’s cost to be considered while making your decision. A good quality (high score on all 4Cs) sapphire can cost thrice as much as a good quality tanzanite. So the decision making becomes pretty simple. Buy what you can afford.

Personally, I love the two stones for different reasons altogether. For me sapphire has a rich regal charm and tanzanite as an aura of chic elegance to it. And I don’t think there can be a defining criterion for choosing one stone over the other. I think there is so much in a gemstones that says about it – the color, the myth, the beauty the lore, and if a particular gemstone seems to speak to you, by all means listen.

Difference Between Tanzanite and Sapphire Stones

posted Oct 8, 2011 9:23 PM by FU RONG GEMS   [ updated Oct 8, 2011 9:24 PM ]

Difference Between Tanzanite and Sapphire Stones:
difference-between-tanzanite-sapphire-stones
The sapphire has long been treasured for its deep blue color. It is now being rivaled in popularity by the similarly colored tanzanite, which appeared on the marketplace in the late 1960s.
  1. Color

    • Sapphires are made of corundum and are generally blue, but can also come in yellow, pink or green. Most sapphires are heat-treated to enhance their deep midnight-blue color. Tanzanite, made of the mineral zoisite, is also heat-treated to achieve its medium to deep violet blue.

    Durability

    • With a hardness only slightly less than that of the diamond (sapphire is 9 on the Mohs hardness scale; diamond is 10), sapphire is exceptionally durable. It stands up well to everyday wear in a ring or a bracelet. Tanzanite rates 6.5 on the Mohns scale; its softness and brittleness require that it be worn with care so it does not crack or shatter.

    History

    • Sapphire, the birthstone for September, is a legendary gemstone from ancient times, when it was worn by kings. Because of its relatively recent discovery, tanzanite does not yet have much lore. It was originally called blue zoisite, until Tiffany and Company christened it tanzanite after the country of its discovery.

    Relative Value

    • Prices for tanzanite have been rising while prices of sapphire have fallen, meaning costs for the two gemstones may overlap.

    Cleaning

    • Sapphire can be cleaned in a variety of ways, including ultrasonically or with a little ammonia added to warm water. Tanzanite is sensitive to temperature changes and should be cleaned with lukewarm water and a mild liquid detergent, never in an ultrasonic cleaner.
